Let The Lungs Breath Ease.........
ALIKAST-FXA is a combination of three
medicines: Montelukast, Fexofenadine and Acebrophylline. Montelukast is
classified as a leukotriene antagonist. The way in which it works is by
blocking the action of a chemical messenger called leukotriene. In addition to
reducing inflammation in the airways and nose, this also improves the symptoms
of allergies. As an antiallergic drug, Fexofenadine is useful for treating
symptoms such as runny nose, watery eyes, and sneezing caused by allergies.
There is a substance that is known as Acebrophylline which a mucolytic which
thins and loosens mucus (phlegm) is making it easier to cough it up.
COMPOSITION:
- Acebrophylline is a bronchodilator & mucolytic used to treat asthma and COPD symptoms. Acebrophylline relaxes muscles and widens lungs' airways. Moreover, Acebrophylline thins and loosens phlegm in the lungs, windpipe, and nose. Taking it before exercise helps prevent asthma attacks and allows one to exercise freely by making breathing easier by opening airways.
- Fexofenadine is used to treat seasonal allergic rhinitis symptoms, including runny noses, sneezing, itchy eyes, noses, throats, and roofs of mouth in adults and children 2 years of age and older. It is also used by adults and children 6 months and older to relieve symptoms of urticaria, such as itching and rash. Fexofenadine is an antihistamine. It works by blocking histamine, which causes allergy symptoms in the body.
- Montelukast usually prescribed for mild asthma, it can prevent it from getting worse. It can also help people with asthma who have breathing difficulties when exercising, and those with seasonal allergies, such as sneezing, itching, and blocked or runny noses.
How ALIKAST-FXA works:
Throughout
the respiratory tract, acebrophylline is used for its mucoregulative and
anti-inflammatory properties. In patients with asthma, severe or chronic
bronchitis, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), and tightness of the
chest, acebrophylline reduces irritation, swelling, and narrowing of the
bronchial tubes. By reducing the viscosity of mucus in the airway, it
facilitates breathing.
Fexofenadine
is a fringe H blocker that inhibits receptor activation while reducing
sensitivity symptoms.
